For eight years I spent weekends, evenings and holidays working on my habilitation research project «Internationalisation of Law in Switzerland». Since May 2025, the habilitation process at the University of Bern is concluded, and in early March 2026 the results from this very long and comprehensive research project were published in the form of my second monograph here.

My findings regarding the ability of the democratic state order to adapt to the challenges of globalisation and digitalisation are highly topical and of interest not only to Swiss citizens and institutions. I therefore plan to disseminate key findings and policy recommendations also in a ‘general consumption’ form both in German and English and meanwhile intend to take every opportunity I have to share my insights and further develop ideas how to best proceed.

This place here is reserved for the on-going dissemination efforts of «democracy on the rack».
